cottontop, I found this on the number of cases and deaths in Juarez. According to the figures the Health Minister is giving the CFR there is 11%. That’s high! I had guessed that it was 9% to 16% so I was right in there on accuracy. The idiot is really trying to play down how dangerous the strain of H1N1 is there and it’s potential if it stays at the same rate.

“The influenza problem has been completely brought under control. This year we only had one outbreak in Ciudad de Juarez in the state of Chihuahua and it was a very limited outbreak,” said Cordova.

“When we see there has only been 56 confirmed cases and the deaths have been limited to 6, there is no point of comparison with the situation two years ago when we had several thousand cases confirmed each month,” he said.
