PUTRAJAYA: Six new clusters of Influenza-like Illness (ILI) were detected in Kuala Lumpur and five states as of 8am Tuesday, Director-General of Health Tan Sri Dr Mohd Ismail Merican said Wednesday. The states are Kedah, Terengganu, Pahang, Penang and Melaka, (Snip) He said that up to 5.30pm Tuesday, the cumulative ILI cases under treatment in hospitals nationwide stood at 713. Of the total, 131 cases were positively confirmed as Influenza A (H1N1), he said. “There are 13 cases in intensive care and nine of them are in the risk category,” (Snip)

He also said that as of 5.30pm Tuesday, 64 cases of H1N1 were reported, taking the cumulative total to 14,202 so far.
