Chile has 107 cases of influenza; woman remains in serious condition
SANTIAGO (Reuters) – Chile on Tuesday reported 21 more confirmed cases of the new avian H1N1, bringing the total to 107 in the country. A woman of 58 years remains in critical condition.
Chile remains the South American country most affected by the disease. In a daily report, the authorities said the patient in a more serious, which also suffers from pneumonia, is stable within its gravity, by breathing apparatus, in a private hospital in Santiago.
Almost all of the other students in colleges are contaminated in a rich area of Greater Santiago, whose state evolves satisfactorily.
In recent days, cases have been confirmed also in other regions of the country.
