  Further cases of human avian flu reported in Egypt.   At this time, dangerous to human strain of H5N1 virus detected in 38-year-old resident of the province of Asyut in the south of Cairo.

The previous human case of avian influenza was detected on 11 March in the Egyptian province of Minufiya.

The Pakistani authorities also said the emergence of a new hotbed of avian influenza, is the fourth case of H5N1 strain in poultry in the last month in the country.  Avian influenza was detected on a farm in Karachi, the biggest city in the country.   Pakistani authorities have also confirmed the death of human avian flu in December.
