Indonesia again sent 12 samples of bird flu to the organisation of the health of the world (WHO) after stopped since last August 2007.  

According to Siti Fadillah Supari Health Minister who was quoted by Agence France Presse (Jum’at, 22/2/08 ), Indonesia will try to continue to send the sample of this bird flu.  

Indonesia stopped sending the sample of this bird flu because the existence of the indication of several medicine companies was on an international scale can use this sample to produce the vaccine antti the expensive bird flu virus and could not be bought by poor countries.

This sample was sent on the Tuesday then to the WHO affiliation body in America for the prevention affair and the supervision of the illness.

“This sample hanyak will be carried out for the need” of the “research.” If they will use sample this to develop the vaccine, then they must inform the Indonesian rights to the vaccine this,” Siti words.

Siti Fadilah Supari asked WHO to change the exchange system of the sample of the flu virus that was 50 years old, so as developing countries that mengiirmkan this sample got the right to this vaccine.
